The first lady of Anambra opens health clubs for pupils as well as teachers.
The clubs were officially opened on Friday at the State Universal Basic Education Board offices in Awka, the state capital. The club members included head teachers, educators, and students from approximately 325 elementary and secondary schools spread across the state’s 21 local government districts.
During the function, Soludo emphasized that the main goal was to create an army of advocates for healthy living by teaching students and teenagers the routines for leading happy, healthy lives. He also added that every student in the state needed to be completely engaged in the movement.
“This is the beginning of a renewed dream driven by immense passion,” she declared. I appreciate everyone who volunteered to take part in this fantastic initiative. You are assuming an obligation to humanity and to yourself today. Our goal is to live a healthy lifestyle.
“With Nonye Soludo
, a healthy lifestyle is the result of intense desire. Our goal is to ignite an unquenchable revolution in healthy living. Our goal is to instill a culture of health consciousness among our students. a shift in perspective. To get optimal health, one must first become aware of one’s body. It is, in my opinion, being self-centered with your body.
“It doesn’t take a fortune to live morally. All that defines a person’s approach to a healthy life are little, intentional habits. It starts with your diet and the way you look after your body. The phrase “You are what you eat” is the one I like to utilize. In the end, your body won’t understand what goes into your mouth if you don’t.
“Living a healthy lifestyle requires conscious effort. You have to resolve to give up some bad behaviors that don’t work with your body’s natural balance. You have to realize that having good health equates to having a happy life.
She also assigned the teachers and other ambassadors to perform their duties with the utmost dedication, reminding them that their role as project ambassadors is to guide the teenagers toward the criteria established by the club.
The goal of the platform is to provide every child with an opportunity for success. Every club member possesses a unique identity. For this reason, we firmly maintain that maintaining cleanliness is a must for club membership.
Members of the club are required to uphold its core values at all times. We have high expectations since leading a healthy lifestyle necessitates strict self-control.
“A healthy lifestyle is essential. What the body gives back will ultimately depend on our relationship with it. It provides you with wellness if you feed it well. You get sick if you give it lousy food. We aim to imbue our students with that ideology,” she continued.
In order to encourage teens to plant only organic crops, the First Lady also revealed that there will be a “healthy living garden competition.” This will be a termly challenge that will take place in all the schools where clubs are already located.
Earlier in her welcome speech, Vera Nwadinobi, the Executive Chairman of ASUBEB, praised Soludo for encouraging students to lead healthy lives and mentioned that the “ambassadors” were carefully chosen to spread the program throughout their respective schools.
“The ambassadors were carefully chosen to champion healthy living habits in our schools,” Nwadinobi stated. Setting a good example for our students is the best approach to ensure that they acquire healthy behaviors. This can be achieved by eating together, exercising, consuming lots of water, and getting enough sleep.
“The society would be full with healthy adults and youth who are ready to contribute to the welfare and development of the society and Anambra State in particular if we catch them early with regard to healthy living.
As an ambassador for the school’s healthy living club, you would be in charge of a number of significant duties. First and foremost, you should set an example for others by leading a healthy lifestyle and practicing sound habits in areas like stress management, physical activity, diet, and mental health.
The giving of fully equipped first aid kits to each of the ambassadors selected from among the 325 schools was the event’s high point.
